Martha Mariam Samajam

A branch of Martha Mariam Samajam is effectively functioning in this parish. Basically it’s a prayer group of women, which meets in the church every sunday after the holy mass. They also undertake social work whenever required. The following are the principal office bearers:-

Mar Gregorious Orthodox Christian Students' Movement (MGOCSM)

It is the student’s movement of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. There is a branch of the same in this church. About 150 children of the parish are members of this unit. The vicar of the church is the President of the unit and other office bearers are from amongst the members, who are elected annually. The following are the office bearers at present:-

Activities

The unit meets every Sunday after the Holy Qurbana. The sessions comprise of prayer, bible reading, devotional songs, classes, quizzes etc.
Some of the other activities undertaken are:

• Classes on faith, history, liturgy and traditions of the church.
• Community and personality development programmes.
• Providing books, uniforms and financial aid to poor students.
• Awards for academic excellence.
• Providing clothes, medicines and financial aid to the needy.
• Annual grants to selected orphanages and charitable institutions.
• Organising of competitions for Sunday school students.
• Funds for the above activities are raised by donations from devotees
  

Prayer Groups

There are 8 prayer groups under this church. Parishioners of the respective areas meet at nominated houses on particular dates under the leadership of a priest, as announced in the church after the holy qurbana. The following are the prayer group:-

4. Eravinalloor South Area
5. Eravinalloor North Area
6. Ericadu Area
7. Vellukutta – Kanjirathinmoodu Area
8. Thrikothamangalam Area

Youth League

There is a branch of youth league functioning in this church, in which the youth in the parish are members. Members of youth league assist in all matters of the church, and particularly during the feasts. The also do charitable work. The following are the principal office bearers:-

Elders Forum

St.George Orthodox Charitable Society - Reg.No K/225/08

The Church under the guidance of the Vicar of the Church has started a Charitable Society with Reg.No K/225/08 in order to support the needy irrespective of caste and creed. The Society office was inaugurated on  2nd May 2010 by Mr.Ommen Chandy - Leader of Opposition, Kerala Assembly in presence of the Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution Prof.K.V.Thomas, Mr.Jose.K.Mani - MP, Mr.K.B.Ganesh Kumar - MLA. Mr.Jose.K.Mani distributed Housing Financial Aid, Mr.K.B.Ganesh Kumar distributed Medical Aid, Matrimonial Financial Aid and Sewing Machines. Aids Amounting to Rs.5 Lakhs has been distributed this year

Santhwanam

This is a prayer meeting cum retreat held on 2nd and 4th Sundays of every month in the church under the leadership of a priest to provide solace to the aggrieved. Other too could participate. At the end of the meeting special prayers are held for the sick and needy. Such meetings have been very rewarding and more and more people are participating and invoking the intercession of the nine intercessors. The prayer meeting is coordinated by the following members:-
